Description: Bryce Corporation collaborated with PepsiCo to transform the CHEETOS® Crunchy FLAMIN’ HOT® Limón packaging from a seven-color expanded gamut to a four-color flexographic printing process. This bold design, featuring vibrant flames and bright colors, was flawlessly reproduced, preserving color integrity and brand identity. The innovative approach pushed the boundaries of color management, reducing ink consumption and improving press efficiency while maintaining the iconic CHEETOS® look, marking a significant achievement in flexible packaging sustainability.
Description: This flexible packaging design features a large, front-facing billboard that grabs consumers’ attention as they walk down the aisle, enhancing shelf impact. The package incorporates windows, allowing consumers to view the product before purchase. Unlike traditional “bag-in-box” formats, the flexible pouch collapses as the product is used, saving valuable pantry space. The flexible pouch significantly reduces material usage, weighing just 41.5 grams compared to over 300 grams for a typical bag-in-box, resulting in less waste for consumers. Additionally, the pouch features a convenient reclosable zipper, allowing consumers to easily open and close the package throughout its use—an advantage not available with standard bag-in-box packaging.
HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Harry Potter™ Limited-Edition Candy Bar
Description: Launched for the 2023 Halloween season, HERSHEY’S and Harry Potter™ “magically” created a range of collaborative packaging. Each product produced a collection of spellbinding items that connected the wizardry of Harry Potter™ and the enjoyment of HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate. Using American Packaging Corporation’s (APC) HPE Roto™, the design team was able to achieve 12 unique character designs without compromise. Each bar package had specific elements and symbols from the series that were enhanced by the print fidelity and consistency provided by APC’s unique rotogravure printing capability and expertise. Each printed lane varied four of the 12 designs, creating randomness in the filling process.
