Description: This pouch was designed to showcase the internal pouch making capability at St. Johns Packaging with an all PE structure that addresses the consumer, retailer, and consumer product companies’ demands for more environmentally friendly packaging. The design of the package was developed internally, with the side panels of the pouch being utilized to showcase each of the companies involved with the help of a QR Code, allowing for quick access to that company’s website.
Description: EZYPRO is a custom spouted, stand-up pouch with a unique shape and a two-year shelf life. EZYPRO is pre-filled with 30g of protein powder. The end-user fills the pouch with water at the point of use and shakes to combine the powder before consuming, eliminating the environmental impact and energy required to ship water. It is convenient and is easy to carry, light, and flexible for active users. The pouch is differentiated by the use of a touch coating, which is a new textured lacquer that exudes a paper-like, natural, and organic feel to the package.
Description: Edible oil must be protected from oxygen, which makes it rancid. Barrier properties in edible oil packaging are imparted by Nylon/EVOH. However, it is the presence of these elements that makes the packaging of edible oil non-recyclable. Because of their poor recyclability, most of these multilayer structures are usually incinerated/ landfilled, negating the circular economy. Uflex devised a formulation that renders packaging for edible oil recyclable despite the presence of Nylon/EVOH.
