TerraCycle Buys New Hampshire Recycling Company

TerraCycle, which handles hard-to-recycle waste streams, recently purchased North Coast Services, a New Hampshire-based company specializing in the collection and recycling of universal waste, including electronics waste, televisions, monitors, and batteries across New England.

TerraCycle is based in New Jersey and operates in 21 countries.

Founder and CEO Tom Szaky says the company entered the universal waste business in the U.S. in 2016 with the acquisition of Air Cycle Corporation, followed by Complete Recycling Solutions in 2023, both of which are the foundation of the TerraCycle commercial recycling division. The addition of North Coast Services “will complement and enhance our U.S. operations,” Szaky added in a statement.

TerraCycle Commercial Recycling provides businesses with industrial recycling solutions for universal waste and other hard-to-recycle materials. The division supports companies in meeting regulatory requirements and achieving sustainability goals by managing complex waste streams, including electronics and hazardous materials.

Established in 2011, North Coast Services specializes in identifying and managing Resource Conservation and Recovery Act hazardous waste, as well as handling universal waste.

North Coast Services co-founders Tom Fatcheric and Billy Andrews say in a statement that the deal will allow them to expand their customer base and services.
