SPMC® Sets February Date for Sterile Packaging Day 2024

The Flexible Packaging Association’s Sterilization Packaging Manufacturers Council (SPMC®) will hold Sterile Packaging Day 2024 on February 7 during the Medical Design & Manufacturing West conference in Anaheim, California, and online via LinkedIn.

“Opening Possibilities” is the theme of the day and will honor nurses and clinicians, organizers say. The in-person event will center around the Informa + SPMC® Blood Drive at the Anaheim Convention Center.  SPMC®‘s goal is to fill all available donation slots on February 7.

“We’re honored to once again team up with the American Red Cross for the blood drive,” says Kathleen Daly Mascolo, SPMC® marketing committee chairman. “Sterile packaging allows us to safely donate the gift of life, and the Red Cross makes it possible to collect and distribute this gift to those who need it most.”

SPMC® has launched a toolkit on its webpage with Sterile Packaging Day 2024 details and tips. Free downloadable graphics and resources recognize the industry’s commitment to patient safety and supply chain strength. More information can be found on the organization’s website.
