ProAmpac has added five more facilities that have been certified to the Safe Quality Food (SQF) program, a global farm-to-fork initiative recognized by retailers, brand owners, and food service organizations as a comprehensive food safety and quality standards initiative.

The facilities are in Appleton, Wisconsin.; Cary, Illinois; Richmond, Quebec City; Rochester, New York.; and Wrightstown, Wisconsin.

ProAmpac now has 18 facilities that hold SQF certification, which is issued through the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). It requires the establishment of a rigorous, comprehensive food safety program through every step of the supply chain.

“Our SQF certifications provide customers assurances that they will receive the same packaging made in adherence to the same quality systems from multiple plants throughout the ProAmpac network,” said Corey Peterson, director of quality.

Established in 2015, ProAmpac has grown to 36 sites globally, with nearly 4,800 employees supplying more than 5,000 customers in 90 countries.
