Georgia-based Palmetto Industries plans an expansion of its products—including bulk bags, container liners, and BOPP—into Nicaragua and Latin America through a partnership with CAM Exports LLC.
Palmetta, which is based in Grovetown, Georgia, just outside Augusta, has manufacturing facilities in India and warehouses across the U.S.
“Both of our companies share a mission in the industrial packaging sector to deliver high quality products at an affordable price. We believe that this partnership will allow us to do just that and further our reach into the South American market,” Shannon Belcher, sales director for Palmetto Industries, said in a news release. “CAM Exports has the right pieces in place to help make this happen.”
CAM began exporting agriculture industrial equipment three years ago to food processing companies in Nicaragua. It saw the difficulty these companies had in acquiring packaging products and began searching for a partnership with a packaging manufacturer.
CAM Exports is expanding to all Spanish speaking countries in Central and South America and Palmetto plans to expand its territory into these regions and others, the companies said.
