Nelipak Corporation recently opened a flexible packaging production site in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
The global provider of packaging solutions for medical devices, pharmaceutical drug delivery, and other applications is establishing the new location as a North American flagship production site, the company says in a news release.
Founded in the Netherlands in 1953, Nelipak also has three production sites in Europe.
“The addition of the new production site will replicate Nelipak’s existing capabilities to support growing customer demand in the Americas region,” according to the company. “Nelipak’s healthcare flexible packaging product line includes custom-designed rollstock, die cut lids and sheets, pouches, and bags.”
“We are open for business in Winston-Salem and are actively developing and delivering high-quality sterile-barrier packaging solutions, which also help our customers deliver on their sustainability and business continuity objectives,” said Pat Chambliss, Nelipak CEO, in a statement.
The 110,000-square-foot, Class-A industrial building is expected to meet Nelipak’s specifications for healthcare packaging production, including International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 7 clean room space, all new state-of-the-art production equipment, and ISO 13485 certification.
