Liquibox has officially opened its 140,000-square-foot “Center of Excellence” in Madrid, Spain.
The center will have more than 170 workers, according to a news release. Liquibox is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, and the Madrid location is in alignment with its global strategy to create regional centers.
The Madrid facility has the latest technology for bag-in-box manufacturing, with a focus on minimizing the environmental footprint that calls for sending zero waste to landfills and incorporating energy-efficient equipment throughout the building.
Founded in 1961, Liquibox has 19 global locations and nearly 1,400 employees.
