Constantia Flexibles Expands with New Purchase

Austria-based Constantia Flexibles recently bought Lászlópack Kft., a Hungarian flexible packaging producer specializing in flexo printing.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Pim Vervaat, CEO of Constantia Flexibles, says the companies share a common vision to serve customers with more eco-friendly, innovative packaging solutions.

“This acquisition further seizes new growth opportunities for Lászlópack to grow outside of Hungary, as well as for us to support their customers with our more sustainable product offerings,” Vervaat says.

In recent years, Constantia Flexibles has expanded its European flexo printing platform through the acquisitions of Propak in Turkey, FFP Packaging Solutions in Great Britain, and Drukpol in Poland.

Established in 1998, Lászlópack was founded by the László family, with Szabolcs László serving as the CEO.

“We can now serve more customers around the world and make a significant impact in developing more eco-friendly packaging options,” László says.

Lászlópack Kft. operates a plant in Komarom, which is about 62 miles northwest of Budapest. About 87 employees primarily provide food applications to the local market and selected export countries.
