Amcor CEO to Retire April 15

Citing health reasons, Amcor’s CEO recently announced he will retire from the international packaging company, effective April 15.

CEO Ron Delia told the board of directors about his decision after nine years in the top spot, according to an Amcor news release.

Peter Konieczny, Amcor’s chief commercial officer and member of the company’s global management team, was named interim CEO, according to the release.

Delia will remain in an advisory role through September.

The board is conducting a search process, which will include internal and external candidates, to fill the position.

Konieczny, who is based in Switzerland, was named chief commercial officer in 2020.
