SIEGWERK PROVIDES MEALS

At the flexible packaging headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa, Siegwerk employees normally participate in Meals from the Heartland, a nonprofit organization composed of volunteers who package meals for delivery to feed people around the world, as well as in the U.S.

The meals include rice, soy protein, dried vegetables, and vitamins. During the pandemic, Siegwerk temporarily redirected its efforts to help more local organizations that were personally impacted where employees live and work. After schools closed, Siegwerk made a donation of $5,000 to the Des Moines Public Schools for their grab-and-go meals program.

This donation ensured over 800 meals—including one breakfast, one lunch, one juice, and two milks—to students in need. Additionally, $5,000 was donated to the Food Bank of Iowa, which provided 20,000 meals to individuals in need through mobile food distribution opportunities and filling in for services lost through school partners.
