Deadline Extended for Oregon EPR-Related Reports

The Circular Action Alliance (CAA) says it achieved a key milestone on March 31, 2025, with the conclusion of Oregon’s first producer supply reporting cycle under the state’s Recycling Modernization Act.

But the producer responsibility organization (PRO) is extending the deadline for companies that have not yet filed their reports in an effort to lower the overall fees for producers.

CAA, the PRO for the extended producer responsibility (EPR) program in Oregon, says it received enough producer-supplied tons to meet the average fee per ton in the high-fee scenario outlined in the Oregon Program Plan.

“However, CAA is still validating producer supply reports, and not all reports have been submitted,” according to the PRO.

As a result, CAA is providing producers that have not submitted reports with a grace period to submit their reports before April 30, 2025.

Receiving additional supply data before setting fees will reduce the average fee per ton, benefiting all producers, CAA says.

“CAA is actively encouraging nonreporting producers to submit their reports as soon as possible so that CAA can set the final fee schedule, which will be used for invoicing in late May,” it explains.
