Sung An Machinery Co. (SAM) recently named Joon Shin, its former executive director, as the South Korean company’s new CEO.
Founded in 1960, SAM is a manufacturer of converting machinery for the solution coating, extrusion coating, and printing industries.
Joon is a third-generation family member to lead the company. He joined SAM in 2007 and has held several key senior management roles. He was educated in the United States and understands the importance of being a global operation, the company says in a news release.
Joon succeeds Dong Seong (DS) Shin, who will continue as the president and special adviser to the management team. Under his leadership, the company says, SAM has doubled its sales volume “and has become a world leader in manufacturing of converting machinery.”
