C-P Flexible Packaging buys Wisconsin converter company

Pennsylvania-based C-P Flexible Packaging recently announced that it has bought Prestige-Pak Inc., a privately held manufacturer in Wisconsin focusing on printed packaging films for the retail food markets.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Prestige-Pak is a second generation, family-owned converter founded 53 years ago. The company brings diverse capabilities including ten-color flexographic printing, laminating, custom slitting, and a variety of prepress services.

“Prestige-Pak is an excellent addition to the C-P family,” said Mike Hoffman, CEO of C-P, which is a portfolio company of First Atlantic Capital, a New York based private equity firm.

“The Prestige-Pak acquisition will add to our already extensive footprint in the flexible packaging industry,” Roberto Buaron, chairman of First Atlantic Capital, says in a news release.

Founded in 1958, C-P Flexible Packaging is based in York, Pennsylvania. It operates seven manufacturing plants across North America and employs over 750 people.
