The 2025 Recycling Open House sponsored by the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) will be held virtually over two days in August.
The free event will be held August 13 and then a week later on August 20 and will feature trade associations and other organizations that will present initiatives to promote recyclability of plastic products, according to PLASTICS.
“Attendees learn about how to become engaged in sustainability programs with a focus around product design considerations for material circularity, climate change, and impact on greenhouse gas emissions,” PLASTICS says. “Most importantly, it is a call to action for industry leaders to work together in recycling programs to improve plastics recycling.”
Registration is required. The program on each day will run about 90 minutes.
The sessions start at noon on August 13 and include representatives from PLASTICS, Tracy Taszarek with the Healthcare Plastics Recycling Council, and Paula Leardini with the GreenBlue/Sustainable Packaging Coalition.
The sessions start at 12:10 on August 20 and include presentations by Neil Menezes of the Circular Action Alliance, Dan Felton of the Flexible Packaging Association, and Katherine Huded with The Recycling Partnership.
