Companies Invest in Their Communities

Companies involved in the flexible packaging industry participate in their communities and provide services beyond their business models. Here is a look at some of those efforts at companies that are members of the Flexible Packaging Association (FPA).

Siegwerk Stays Involved to Help Children

Siegwerk’s Charitable Giving Committee has built a legacy of supporting children, families, and local communities through a range of philanthropic initiatives. The committee has focused on strengthening children’s education, expanding mental health resources, promoting youth development, and addressing essential needs such as food security and health awareness.

In 2025, the committee supported the Moonlight Classic, a community bike ride that shines a light on children’s mental health. The committee also partnered with ChildServe, contributing to projects such as installing adaptive playground equipment that ensures children of all abilities have safe, inclusive spaces to play and grow. To combat food insecurity, employees volunteered with Meals from the Heartland. The committee also participated in community awareness events such as the Superhero Heart Run and Walk With You, dedicated to raising funds for support services for children and families navigating health issues.

The committee also invested in youth sports programs and supported Camp Fire Heart of Iowa. In addition to its child‑focused initiatives, the committee has contributed to the Foundation of the Flexographic Technical Association, supporting workforce development, technical education, and scholarship opportunities that strengthen the future of the printing and packaging industry.
