Description: This high-barrier film was designed to preserve the integrity of the product and prolong shelf life by reducing the onset of mold growth using modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) technology. The package features a red tear-tape and a zipper for consumer convenience and easy opening and closing. The film’s sealant, with excellent hot tack and seal strength, allows for the high-speed packing required in the bread industry. These features are required to have a low loss rate of this natural-yet-fragile product. This technology provides the ultimate sustainability benefit of reducing food waste. The MAP technology used in this application extends product shelf life beyond the typical 10–14 days.
