Austria-based Constantia Flexibles is expected to close on a joint venture soon to expand its operations in India.
The global company recently signed a joint venture agreement for its India business and operations with SB Packagings and Premji Invest, a private equity firm based in India. The deal will help Constantia Flexibles expand in India, where SB Packagings is based, the company says.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the agreement is expected to be completed by the end of March, pending regulatory approvals. SB Packagings is based in New Delhi.
“I have the greatest respect for SB Packagings’ achievements and look forward to the joint venture, supported by Premji Invest, to grow the combined business profitably,” says Pim Vervaat, CEO of Constantia Flexibles, in a news release.
The joint venture will grow Constantia Flexibles’ hygiene segment.
“As SB Packagings is a leading player in the hygiene segment, the new partnership will help extend Constantia Flexibles’ portfolio,” the company says.
