Description: This stand-up spouted pouch for Hellmann’s Mayonnaise consists of biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) and polyethylene from the same olefinic plastic family and replaces the conventional plastic jars prevalent in this category. This combination of plastics makes the pouch easily recyclable; it contributed to more than a 60% reduction in carbon footprint and an 800% reduction in packaging that is landfilled. The pouch was designed with a high-barrier and high heat-resistant BOPP film to provide barrier protection for the product to maintain the desired shelf life.
