For this package, the converter was able to surface print the 3.5 mil PE and thermally laminate to the PET/EVA film directly. This eliminated the extra PET layer and paves the way for digital and packaging labels to utilize offline thermal lamination more effectively and efficiently without pre-laminates with just PE film.
