Emami Edible Oil (with Recyclable Barrier Packaging)

Description: Edible oil must be protected from oxygen, which makes it rancid. Barrier properties in edible oil packaging are imparted by Nylon/EVOH. However, it is the presence of these elements that makes the packaging of edible oil non-recyclable. Because of their poor recyclability, most of these multilayer structures are usually incinerated/ landfilled, negating the circular economy. Uflex devised a formulation that renders packaging for edible oil recyclable despite the presence of Nylon/EVOH.
